By Tech & Money Press · Pre-market watchlist for Wednesday, November 4, 2026
Market Setup
Tech bounced back on Tuesday. The Nasdaq rose 0.8% to 25,372 and the S&P 500 gained 0.4% to 7,569, while the Dow slipped 0.4%. SPY closed at $754.35 (+0.3%), QQQ at $685.28 (+0.6%), ending a four-day losing streak, and the IWM at $279.79 (+0.2%). Chip stocks led after Super Micro Computer raised its full-year outlook and Arista Networks beat estimates.
After the close, AMD beat on both lines: third-quarter revenue rose 45% to $13.38 billion, data center sales nearly doubled to $8.5 billion, and it guided fourth-quarter revenue to about $17 billion, above expectations. The stock traded near $508 after hours, up about 5%. SPY was near $752 and QQQ near $682 at 8 p.m. ET. Markets will also be reacting to the midterm election results, so expect headline-driven moves at the open. Our list is all earnings: three after-hours gainers with fresh reports, plus two stocks that ran more than 20% on Tuesday.
1. Alight (ALIT) – Raises guidance, up 16% after hours
Close: $10.12 (+2.4%) · Day range: $9.29–$10.27 · Volume: about 690K · After hours: ~$11.75 (+16.1%), range $10.12–$12.44, about 57K shares
The workplace benefits and HR services company reported third-quarter revenue of $500 million, ahead of expectations, and raised its full-year revenue guidance to $2.115–$2.125 billion from $2.078–$2.098 billion, above the roughly $2.087 billion analysts expected. It also lifted its adjusted EBITDA outlook to $410–$420 million and announced the purchase of Abet, a health data analytics provider. Recurring revenue still fell 6% from a year ago, and management said the benefit from stronger renewals should start showing in the second half of 2027. The stock had dropped from about $13 in September to under $8 in mid-October, and the company is worth about $270 million.
Our Take: The guidance raise is the catalyst, and the after-hours price is already above Tuesday’s high. $12.44 (after-hours high) is the first resistance, then $13.21 (Sept. 22 high). On the downside, $11.64 (Sept. 25 high) is the first support, then $10.27 (Tuesday’s high). After-hours volume was light, so look for pre-market volume to confirm the move.

2. Oportun Financial (OPRT) – Returns to growth, new 52-week high after hours
Close: $10.04 (+1.2%) · Day range: $9.66–$10.18 · Volume: about 581K · After hours: ~$11.30 (+12.5%), range $10.04–$11.60, about 24K shares
The consumer lender said total revenue grew 3% from a year ago, its first year-over-year increase since the fourth quarter of 2023, while originations rose 12%. Its annualized net charge-off rate fell to 10.6%, the lowest since 2022, and GAAP net income rose to $23 million. Oportun beat its own guidance for revenue, adjusted EBITDA and charge-offs, raised its full-year outlook and introduced a new strategy called Oportun Forward, along with a new CFO. The after-hours price is above Monday’s $10.28 high, which was the stock’s 52-week high. The company is worth about $460 million.
Our Take: This stock was already in a steady uptrend from $8 in early October, and the report pushed it to a new high. $11.60 (after-hours high) is the first resistance, then $12.00 (round number). On the downside, $11.00 (round number) is the first support, then $10.28 (the prior 52-week high). Only about 24,000 shares traded after hours, so spreads may be wide early.

3. Cricut (CRCT) – Profit jumps and a $0.70 special dividend
Close: $5.97 (−1.2%) · Day range: $5.93–$6.26 · Volume: about 707K · After hours: ~$6.88 (+15.2%), range $5.97–$7.02, about 42K shares
The maker of crafting machines reported third-quarter revenue of $188.6 million, up 11% from a year ago, as product sales grew 17% on new launches and international revenue climbed 30%. Gross margin improved to 57.7%, operating income rose nearly 50% to $33.9 million and net income reached $27.8 million. Cricut also declared a special dividend of $0.70 per share, about 12% of Tuesday’s closing price, and has no debt with $273 million in cash. The after-hours price is above its 52-week high of $6.82. The company is worth about $1.25 billion.
Our Take: A cleaner report than most this week, and the stock was breaking to a new high after hours. $7.02 (after-hours high) is the first resistance, then $7.50 (round number). On the downside, $6.82 (Oct. 15 high) is the first support, then $6.38 (Oct. 27 high). Note that the stock will drop by about the dividend amount on its ex-dividend date, so check the date before holding it.

4. Graphic Packaging (GPK) – Up 21% on a small beat
Close: $11.31 (+21.2%) · Day range: $10.17–$11.40 · Volume: about 22.7M (roughly 3x its recent average) · After hours: ~$11.25 (−0.5%), range $11.15–$11.42
The paper packaging maker reported adjusted earnings of $0.23 per share, a penny above estimates, and sales of $2.19 billion, also slightly ahead. Adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 13.2%, up 1.9 points from the prior quarter, helped by about $90 million in cost cuts this year. The company set its full-year adjusted EPS guidance at $0.65, the low end of its prior range, and plans to pay down $400–$500 million of debt this year. Tuesday’s jump took the stock from $9.33 to a close near the day’s high. It is worth about $3.3 billion.
Our Take: This is a day-two continuation setup, not an after-hours gap. $11.42 (after-hours high) is the first resistance, then $12.00 (round number). On the downside, $10.67 (Tuesday’s open) is the first support, then $10.08 (Sept. 23 high). A 21% move on a modest beat can give some back, so watch whether it holds above $11 in pre-market.

5. Clarivate (CLVT) – Up 26% after finishing a major sale
Close: $2.09 (+25.9%) · Day range: $1.60–$2.11 · Volume: about 11.9M (roughly 3x its recent average) · After hours: ~$2.10 (+0.5%)
The research data and intellectual property analytics company reported third-quarter results and said it completed the sale of its Life Sciences and Healthcare business ahead of schedule, leaving it focused on its academic and IP segments, where most revenue is recurring. Organic recurring revenue grew 1.3%. Clarivate also lowered its full-year GAAP earnings guidance, but the market focused on the simpler business and plans to cut debt. On Monday it said it is bringing its CompuMark trademark data into Microsoft Copilot. The company is worth about $1.3 billion.
Our Take: The stock closed at the high of the day on heavy volume, which is a strong sign. $2.11 (Tuesday’s high) is the first resistance, then $2.50 (round number). On the downside, $1.94 (Oct. 23 high) is the first support, then $1.75 (Monday’s high). This is the lowest-priced name on the list, so keep position size in mind.

Bottom Line
Wednesday’s list is another earnings day. Alight, Oportun and Cricut are the after-hours gappers, while Graphic Packaging and Clarivate are the day-two names that need to hold Tuesday’s gains. Tuesday reminded us that earnings gaps can fade fast at the open, so the stocks that hold their first support in pre-market are the ones to focus on.
