By Tech & Money Press · October 15, 2026

Wednesday’s hot CPI report sent the S&P 500 to its worst day since July, and the Nasdaq fell 1.9%. Thursday brings another inflation test: the Producer Price Index (PPI) at 8:30 AM ET. Charles Schwab (SCHW), U.S. Bancorp (USB), PNC Financial (PNC) and Snap-on (SNA) report earnings before the bell.

Here are the four stocks on our radar for Thursday, based on Wednesday’s volume and after-hours action.

Our Take

Our first check comes at 7:00 AM: we’ll see which of these four hold volume and price in the premarket. Any name that loses its after-hours level comes off the list.

We avoid entries around the 8:30 AM PPI release and wait for price to settle. After that, we look for a 9 EMA / 10 SMA cross above VWAP before taking a position.

GLND (+76%), MXCT (+30%) and NCPL are small caps coming off big moves, so they carry a high risk of share offerings or dilution. We check recent filings before trading them. GDYN’s after-hours pop came on very light volume, so we don’t trust it until the premarket confirms it.

If PPI comes in hot and SPY loses the $763.91 zone, we cut position sizes, because small caps usually get hit hardest when the broad market sells off.
