Stocks to Watch Friday, Oct. 30: Workhorse, NRx Pharmaceuticals, ACCO Brands, Pulmonx, Hyperliquid Strategies
By Tech & Money Press · Pre-market watchlist for Friday, October 30, 2026
Market Setup
Big tech dragged the market again on Thursday. Alphabet had its worst session on record, falling about 12% after its profit miss, and SPY slipped 0.4% to $769.36 while QQQ fell 1.4% to $715.34. Small caps went the other way: the IWM rose 1.0% to $284.01 after third-quarter GDP grew at a 3.4% annual rate, above the 3.2% forecast.
Two more heavyweights reported after the bell. Amazon missed on revenue ($201.9 billion) and earnings ($1.89 per share) even as AWS grew 39%, its fastest pace in nearly five years, and the stock was down about 7% near $226. Intel beat third-quarter estimates but guided fourth-quarter revenue to $15–$16 billion, well below the roughly $17 billion Wall Street expected, and fell about 23% to near $71. SPY was near $764.69 and QQQ near $704.31 after hours.
With the Nasdaq under pressure for a second day, Friday’s list again focuses on stocks with their own catalysts: a new AI data center deal for Workhorse, a regulatory update call for NRx Pharmaceuticals, an earnings beat and raised outlook for ACCO Brands, a two-day breakout in Pulmonx and a crypto-driven move in Hyperliquid Strategies. Here are the levels we are watching.
1. Workhorse Group (WKHS) – AI data center deal sends it up 21% after hours
Close: $2.55 (+0.4%) · Day range: $2.54–$2.58 · Volume: about 2.5M shares after hours alone (a normal day is around 40,000) · After hours: ~$3.09 (+21.2%), range $2.27–$3.27
Workhorse, which makes electric delivery vans, announced a partnership with UK-based Rhaelm Holdings to commercialize TerraPod, a modular data center platform, in a deal reported at about $10 million. It builds on the plan the company laid out with its second-quarter results to expand into mobile AI data centers. Workhorse has about 10.9 million shares outstanding and a market value near $28 million.
Our Take: A tiny share count plus an AI headline can move fast in both directions. $3.27 (after-hours high) is the first resistance, then $3.54 (Aug. 21 high). On the downside, $3.00 (round number) is the first support, then $2.75 (Oct. 22 high). The $2.27 after-hours low shows how thin the trading can get, so expect wide spreads.

2. NRx Pharmaceuticals (NRXP) – Regulatory update call lifts it 26% after hours
Close: $2.66 (−1.1%) · Day range: $2.62–$2.77 · Volume: about 1.3M (above its recent average of roughly 800,000) · After hours: ~$3.36 (+26.3%), range $2.65–$3.55, about 457,000 shares
NRx scheduled a conference call for Friday, Oct. 30, to discuss a regulatory milestone for its preservative-free ketamine and the next steps toward a commercial launch. The product has a Nov. 10 FDA goal date. Earlier this month the company completed its final manufacturing validation lots and received an FDA letter asking for minor label changes.
Our Take: The call is the catalyst, and the details could move the stock either way. $3.55 (after-hours high) is the first resistance, then $3.69 (Aug. 25 high). On the downside, $3.06 (Sept. 30 high) is the first support, then $2.77 (Thursday’s high). Holding above $3.06 in pre-market would keep the gap intact.

3. ACCO Brands (ACCO) – Earnings beat and a raised outlook push it to a 52-week high
Close: $4.36 (−0.5%) · Day range: $4.33–$4.47 · Volume: about 820,000 · After hours: ~$4.74 (+8.7%), range $4.35–$4.75
ACCO reported third-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.28 per share, above the $0.19 estimate, but $0.11 of that came from tariff refunds. Revenue fell 0.9% to $380.3 million, slightly below expectations, and comparable sales dropped 6.2%. The company closed its Trust acquisition on Oct. 1 and raised its full-year outlook to adjusted earnings of $0.98–$1.02 per share and about $100 million in free cash flow. It also pays a $0.075 quarterly dividend, a yield of nearly 7% at Thursday’s close.
Our Take: The beat leans on a one-time tariff refund, so the pop could cool once traders look closer. $4.75 (52-week high) is the first resistance, then $5.00 (round number). On the downside, $4.50 (Wednesday’s high) is the first support, then $4.33 (Thursday’s low). This is a slower mover than the rest of the list.

4. Pulmonx (LUNG) – Up 60% in two days to a new 52-week high
Close: $3.17 (+25.6%) · Day range: $2.53–$3.25 · Volume: about 5.3M (more than 10x its 10-day average) · After hours: ~$3.01 (−4.8%), range $2.98–$3.20
Pulmonx, which makes valves to treat severe emphysema, has climbed from $1.98 on Tuesday to $3.17 after its third-quarter report. Revenue rose 6% to $22.8 million, its return to growth, and the company cut its adjusted EBITDA loss by nearly 60% while keeping its full-year revenue guidance of $90–$92 million. Stifel raised its price target to $4 on Wednesday. We did not find a new announcement behind Thursday’s gain.
Our Take: This is a day-three runner, and it slipped a bit after hours. $3.25 (52-week high) is the first resistance, then $3.50 (round number). On the downside, $2.98 (after-hours low) is the first support, then $2.77 (Wednesday’s high). Watch whether it can get back above Thursday’s $3.17 close in pre-market.

5. Hyperliquid Strategies (PURR) – ICE partnership news lifts the Hyperliquid trade
Close: $12.29 (+23.3%) · Day range: $10.77–$12.33 · Volume: about 58M (roughly 5x its recent average) · After hours: ~$11.18 (−9.0%), range $11.02–$12.30
Hyperliquid Strategies holds a treasury of HYPE, the token of the Hyperliquid crypto exchange. Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the NYSE, said it will work with TradeXYZ to bring regulated perpetual futures to U.S. traders using Hyperliquid’s technology, and investor Stanley Druckenmiller said he is backing TradeXYZ. HYPE jumped about 20% on the news. Last week the company also expanded its buyback to $100 million. The stock gave back 9% after hours as crypto prices slid.
Our Take: This is the most liquid name on the list, but it trades with crypto sentiment. $12.33 (Thursday’s high) is the first resistance, then $13.05 (Oct. 5 high). On the downside, $11.02 (after-hours low) is the first support, then $10.77 (Thursday’s low). Check HYPE and Bitcoin in pre-market before trading it.

Bottom Line
Friday’s list leans on fresh, company-specific news while Amazon and Intel weigh on the Nasdaq. Workhorse and NRx are the high-risk, low-priced gappers, ACCO is the slower earnings play, Pulmonx is a multi-day runner and Hyperliquid Strategies is the liquid crypto-linked name. As always, the stocks that hold their first support in pre-market are the ones to focus on.
