Stocks to Watch Wednesday, Oct. 21: Super Micro, Netflix, Myriad Genetics, Lionsgate, WISeSat.Space
By Tech & Money Press · Pre-market watchlist for Wednesday, October 21, 2026
Market Setup
Stocks were mixed on Tuesday. SPY closed at $769.05 (+0.3%) while QQQ slipped to $717.63 (-0.1%). The mood improved after the bell: Super Micro’s big revenue update lifted AI hardware names, and QQQ traded near $722.85 (+0.7%) in the after-hours session. Netflix went the other way after its Q3 report.
Our five names for Wednesday all have fresh catalysts: a huge guidance raise, an earnings miss on the outlook, an asset sale, a takeover report and a low-float runner. Here are the levels we are watching.
1. Super Micro Computer (SMCI) – Q1 revenue outlook raised by $4B
Close: $32.47 (+1.2%) · Day range: $30.92–$33.17 · Volume: 42.4M · After hours: ~$37.55 (+15.6%)
Super Micro raised its fiscal Q1 2027 revenue outlook to $18.5–$19.5 billion, up from $14.5–$15.5 billion and well above the roughly $14.9 billion analysts expected. It also lifted its gross margin guidance to 12%–12.5%. The company pointed to strong demand for AI servers. These are preliminary numbers; the full report comes later.
Our Take: The stock had dropped from about $45.77 to under $31 in two weeks, so this news hits a washed-out chart. The after-hours gap runs right into the Oct. 14 high at $38.02, the first real test. A clean push through it opens the Oct. 13 high near $39.49. If SMCI holds above about $35.12 (Oct. 15 high) early, buyers stay in control. A slide back below that level would mean the gap is getting sold. SMCI has a history of big gaps that fade, so let the first 15–30 minutes show you which way it wants to go.

2. Netflix (NFLX) – Q4 outlook disappoints
Close: $68.69 (-1.7%) · Day range: $68.20–$70.66 · Volume: 67.0M (about 1.7x its 10-day average) · After hours: ~$64.72 (-5.8%)
Netflix posted Q3 revenue of $12.87 billion, in line with estimates, and EPS of $0.87, ahead of the $0.82 expected. But its Q4 revenue forecast of $13.44 billion came in below the roughly $13.51 billion consensus. The company also announced it will cut about 6% of its workforce, roughly 1,000 jobs, and named a new chief content officer.
Our Take: The after-hours drop pushed NFLX below its prior 52-week low of $65.08, so the stock is trading at fresh lows. That old low is now the first resistance on any bounce, with $66.54 (Oct. 5 low) above it. As long as it stays under $65.08, sellers have the edge. A break of the $63.62 after-hours low would open more downside. Big names that gap to new lows on earnings often see bounce attempts get sold, so we would wait for a reclaim before thinking long.

3. Myriad Genetics (MYGN) – Selling prenatal unit to Labcorp
Close: $5.54 (+31.6%) · Day range: $5.25–$5.95 · Volume: 24.0M (versus a typical ~1.5M) · After hours: ~$5.77
Myriad agreed to sell its prenatal health testing business to Labcorp for $210 million in cash, plus the value of the unit’s inventory. The prenatal unit had been shrinking, and it was the main reason Myriad cut its 2026 sales outlook earlier this year. The deal is expected to close by early 2027. Myriad reports Q3 results on November 4.
Our Take: This is a mid-priced stock under $10 with real news and huge relative volume, and it held most of its gains, closing near $5.54 and ticking higher after hours. A move through the $5.95 day high puts the round $6 level in play. If the open holds above $5.25 (day low), the day-two continuation setup is intact. Below that, a pullback toward the $4.83 area becomes likely.

4. Lionsgate Studios (LION) – Report of a new takeover offer
Close: $12.15 (+14.4%) · Day range: $10.60–$12.88 · Volume: 14.4M (versus a typical ~2M) · After hours: ~$12.22
Bloomberg reported that Apollo-backed Legendary Entertainment has revived takeover talks and made a new offer for Lionsgate. No price or deal terms were disclosed, and the companies declined to comment. There is no guarantee the talks lead to a deal.
Our Take: This is a headline-driven move, so the next headline matters more than the chart. LION faded from $12.88 to close at $12.15, which shows some traders took profits on an unconfirmed report. A push back over $12.88 would open the August highs around $13.10. If the stock loses $11.70, more of the gap could fill toward $10.80. Any confirmation, price or denial could move it sharply in either direction.

5. WISeSat.Space (SAIQ) – Low-float space runner
Close: $6.84 (+100.6%) · Day range: $4.52–$6.92 · Volume: 58.1M (versus 2.4M on Monday) · After hours: ~$6.52 (range $6.06–$7.29)
SAIQ doubled after news tied to the launch of a FOSSA Systems satellite on SpaceX’s Bandwagon-5 mission. The satellite carries SEALSQ’s secure-chip technology for in-orbit testing. The company only began trading on Nasdaq on October 5 after a SPAC merger and has a small share count, which helps explain the wild swings.
Our Take: This is the highest-risk name on the list. Since its debut, SAIQ has spiked to $9.94 and dropped to near $3.11, so moves can reverse fast. Above the $7.29 after-hours high, momentum traders may chase it toward the Oct. 5 high near $9.94. Below $6.06 (after-hours low), a deeper fade toward $5.51 becomes likely. Day-two runners often fade, so size small and use hard stops if you trade it.
