Stocks to Watch Wednesday, Oct. 14: Enovix, Fermi and After-Hours Runners

By Tech & Money Press

Wall Street finished Tuesday essentially flat, but the after-hours session gave traders plenty to work with heading into Wednesday. Here are the names on our radar before the open.

Enovix (ENVX): drone battery order sparks after-hours pop

Enovix climbed about 12% in extended trading to roughly $2.81 after the silicon-anode battery maker announced an initial purchase order for 100,000 battery units from an unnamed multinational drone systems provider. Deliveries are planned for the first half of 2027 from the company’s military-qualified facility in South Korea, and Enovix said it expects follow-on orders afterward.

The order turns part of Enovix’s drone, defense and industrial pipeline into firm backlog. The company has a market cap of about $550 million.

Our Take: ENVX is trading near the bottom of its 52-week range ($2.40–$14.21), so this headline lands on a beaten-down stock. The key question for Wednesday is volume. If premarket buying holds above the $2.80 area, it could set up a momentum trade at the open, with $2.94 (the after-hours high) as the first level to clear. If the move fades back toward Tuesday’s $2.51 close, the market may be treating the order as too small to change the story.

Fermi (FRMI): day-two setup after AMD credit support

Fermi closed Tuesday at $3.72, up 14.5%, on heavy volume of roughly 87 million shares, more than three times its 10-day average. The AI campus and power developer secured a credit support agreement from AMD covering phase one of its Project Matador buildout in Texas (222 MW), plus a framework for a possible expansion to 650 MW. Texas Capital Securities raised its price target to $20 after the news.

Our Take: The stock is still down sharply from its 2025 IPO, so there is plenty of overhead supply. For Wednesday, we’re watching whether FRMI reclaims Tuesday’s VWAP (around $3.85) and challenges the $4.07 intraday high. A clean break above that level would confirm continuation, with the $4.28 premarket spike high above it. Losing $3.69 support would suggest the move is exhausted.

Small-cap after-hours movers (high risk)

Antelope Enterprise (AEHL): up about 150% after hours to around $21.45, topping out near $22.76. We could not confirm a specific catalyst. The company has a history of sharp spikes and has filed for share offerings in the past, so dilution risk is real.

Alaunos Therapeutics (TCRT): up roughly 28% after hours near $3.88, following a 188% gain during Tuesday’s session on more than 250 million shares traded. The $4.32 session high is the level to watch.

These are low-float names that can reverse violently. Treat them as short-term trades only.

Bottom line

Enovix has the cleanest fresh catalyst of the night, while Fermi offers a liquid day-two continuation setup. Confirm premarket volume before acting on any of these. After-hours moves on thin volume often don’t hold at the open.

Prices reflect Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, regular-session closes and after-hours quotes and may change before Wednesday’s open.
